Marriages

We regard it as a huge privilege to be involved in your wedding day, and will do everything we can to help you to have the best start to your married life.

How do I book my wedding?
While we await a new Priest for the Village please contact the Church Wardens using the Contacts Page HERE to find out if the church is available.

Can anyone get married in Boreham Church?
Anyone who lives within the parish of Boreham has a legal right to be married in the church.  You can also get married here if you have lived in the parish at some point in your life, or if you were baptised in the church.  You can also get married here if your parents have lived in the village since you were born or if either your parents or grandparents were married here.

But none of this applies to me.  Can I still get married in Boreham Church?
Yes is the short answer.  It is possible to get married in this church if you are willing to go on our electoral roll (church membership list).  In order to do so, you have to have been a regular worshipper for at least six months.
We will be happy to talk with you about the best way to fulfil this requirement in a way that makes most sense for you.

I have been divorced.  Can I get still get married in Boreham Church?
We do conduct weddings for couples where one or both have been previously married.  Please make contact with the Church Wardens to see if this will be possible for you.

How much does it cost to get married in Boreham Church?
You can find details of our latest fees and form HERE.  However, we would not want anyone to be prevented from getting married for financial reasons so do please contact the Church Wardens if you have any concerns.
Final payment of outstanding fees, along with a completed form, need to be paid at least 6 weeks before the date of your wedding.  Again, if there should be any issues with completing the form or payment please contact our Treasurer, Debora or the Church Wardens HERE. The form is also available using the drop down menus under 'I want to...'

Are there any useful websites to which we can refer?
The Church of England Website has lots of information about getting married in church which we are happy to recommend.
